Swiss Alpine Military is not exactly known for making small, subtle watches. One of the most striking models made by this Swiss watch brand is anything but subtle. The Swiss Alpine Military 7032.9879, that is the one we're talking about here, can rather be called a stunner. A black case, a cool bright orange bracelet and a case diameter of 50 mm. Ha! A real XXL-er. We like that!
Yes, the 7032.9879 is great for fans of big watches. Of course, some watches are (much) bigger, but this SAM model looks a lot bigger than it really is. The main reason for that is the enormous, wide, bracelet. It measures 28 mm at the case. But its not just that. This Swiss watch also has a large case thickness: 14 mm. You just have to dare to wear it.
The Swiss Alpine Military 7032.9879 is certainly not an everyday clock. Not in terms of specifications and not in price. For just €229, you can buy a Swiss chronograph watch with a Swiss Ronda movement that also comes with a 3-year guarantee. The watch is water resistant up to 100 metres and the stainless steel case has a nice black PVD coating.
The dial of the SAM 7032.9879 is made up of several layers (multilayer) and is quite full of chronograph eyes, hands and indexes. Maybe a bit to much for some of us, but that's a matter of taste. What good to know is, both the hands and the indexes are luminous in the dark. The watch strap is made of silicone. This model has a buckle closure.
We can't judge whether this model is suitable for you, of course. We do have oversized watches. But if you go for the SAM 7032.9879 you'll own a striking and large watch that is not going to be unnoticed. Great!
