Gather your tools. You will need a watch spring bar tool (unless you are using a quick-release strap) to remove your strap and a strap tool (if removing a steel strap) for removing strap links if necessary. If you do not have a spring bar tool then use a small screwdriver.
To remove a watch strap with push pins (spring bars), use the spring bar removal tool to push in the spring bar from the side. Once the spring bar is pushed, it will pop out and you will be able to slide the strap off. If you don't have a spring bar tool, you can use a small screwdriver to push the spring bar out.
To remove a steel strap, you will have to do the same. It is connected to the watch case with pushpins.
