Do you have a Citizen watch? Then you have a very good and reliable watch, but you might also have discovered that most Citizen watches have quite a few settings. Many Citizen men's watches contain a Citizen Miyota E660 movement. A timepiece that has several functions and in this very short and simple guide, we will try to get you started on setting up your watch.
Citizen watches with E660 movement have an Eco-Drive movement, which means it runs on solar energy. So first of all, make sure the watch gets enough light to charge. Only use the watch once it is fully charged. And tip: this can take quite a long time, sometimes hours, sometimes days! Is the second hand not working or ticking away two whole seconds at once? Then the watch is not yet sufficiently charged. Then put it in the light for longer.
- Crown: Used for setting time, date and other functions.
- Button A: Bottom right, for activating functions.
- Button B: Top right, for additional settings.
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Turn the crown to set the function dial to [SET].
- Pull the crown out further to position 2.
- Turn the crown to set the hour and minute hands.
- Push the crown back to position 0.
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Turn the crown to set the function hand to [TME].
- Pull the crown out further to position 2.
- Turn the crown to select the desired time zone.
- Push the crown back to position 0.
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Turn the crown to set the function hand to [TME].
- Press Button B to turn summer time on or off.
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Turn the crown to set the function hand to [TME].
- Push the crown back to position 0.
- Press button A to see the power reserve.
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Turn the crown to set the function hand to [TME].
- Push the crown back to position 0.
- Hold down Button A until the second hand points to RX.
- Put the watch down in a place with good signal reception.
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Turn the crown to set the function hand to [CHR].
- Pull the crown out further to position 2.
- Press and hold button A and button B simultaneously and release.
- All settings will be reset.
Daily Charging: Wear your watch daily or put it in a well-lit place.
Maintenance: Clean your watch regularly with a soft cloth.
